The State of Porn in YnM
I'm going to eat, now, so I'll make this brief(ish). (I sincerely hope the guy sitting next to me can't read this. O.o; )

I'm going to use Tsuzuki/Hisoka as the best example in this, because... look, I'm tired and it's the best I can do right now. (I spent my last two lectures wishing I was in bed, for Christ's sake!)

The biggest... cliche(?) of the Tsuzuki/Hisoka relationship is the line between platonic friendship and gentle sex. Now, this isn't a bad thing, exactly, (I mean, most of Double Faced Mask has them tiptoeing around each other with affectionate gesures and subtext, but that will change in future continuation fics.) But it is so rare to find a long, novel-length fic that has them regularly having explicit, hardcore, out-of-the-norm sex. I mean, hell, I like my gentle, affectionate relationship just as much as anyone else, but sometimes. I want PORN. PURE, EXPLICIT FUCKING.

I'm not saying this isn't in the fandom - I regularly ransack places like Katcom, for example. But for these types of fics, Muraki usually features. Not that that's so surprising, considering the type of person Muraki is. (I'm currently writing a Muraki/Tsuzuki that has pure, mind-sex with bloodplay, dominance issues and whatever else I can manage to fit in.) But what I would really like to do is write a Tsuzuki/Hisoka that has the element of... dark porn, so to speak. And that's really the whole element of this type of fic - darknes; angst; just general mind-fucking.

I think this is the direction I'd like to continue Corrupted. How Tsuzuki and Hisoka would really e able to deal with a relationship, considering how mindboggling FUCKED-UP they are. A darkish!Tsuzuki usually helps with this, and, yes, I do think Tsuzuki can be dark if he succumbs into his depression and guilt so badly that he can't see things as they really are anymore, only as he thinks they are.

I know these types of fics already exist - I've read most of them at some point or another (yes, I'm one of those horribly readers who reads fics and then forgets to bookmark. argh!) - but they cannot be said to be plentiful. And I think YnM needs to embrace sex a lot more than it currently is. As I've already said, these fics do exist - but many don't have as much sex (particularly dark sex as these fics would entail) as they could. Now, I understand that not every fic would need to have sex, but y'know, people, we're fanfiction writers. That does mean we have imaginations somewhere (regardless of which part of our body they reside in, of course ^_~).

I'm thinking of writing a Tsuzuki/Hisoka/Muraki based on a shamelessly AU idea I actually had for HP. I think it would work, and it embraces many of the ideas that I currently find fascinating to write - bloodplay, pimps, sex, dominance issues, cross-dressing... I can't remember a few others, but you get the drift. I'm actually really looking forward to it, and whatever reaction it would get from general readers because, well, it's as far away from, say, Double Faced Mask as you can get. :)

I actually have to finish up now because I'm VERY late, and I don't even know if I've made any point, or if it's just be lost in this... thing. I dunno. ^^; See, this is what happens when I rant in a limited space of time!
